This is the banner my mom, aunt, and I made for the local church in memory of my grandparents. We hung the quilt behind the alter, which is where there normally is one hanging. I made the four blocks that were paper pieced with the little lines. They were extremely difficult1 My aunt did the cross blocks that were simple and the maroon cross parts and my mom did the applique and put all the blocks, borders and binding on. We had a lady quilt it and it looks like there are rays coming out of the quilt. I was fixing my pictures on moms laptop to upload my dress and saw this one and thought I would share.

What a wonderful way to honor your grandparents. People will look at it and know how much they were loved and respected. I know it is so nice to have beautiful things to look at when you are in a church. Hugs Mary Ann
