My 1st 2019 Finish

My 1st Finish of 2019 might just be my most difficult! I worked for 4 nights to get this completed (it was already quilted and cut out. It's the Runs with Scissors bag and it compliments the Take a Stand bag pattern. This was after the 2nd night. All that binding and those zippers take a lot of time.
Here's the point I was putting the zipper in on the 3rd night.
Then the binding had to go on through all those layers. It doesn't look pretty, but it's done! This is the inside of the tote.
 This is the back side.
This is the front side. Both have a zippered pocket.
After that, I needed a break! It almost broke me. I cut out this sample while I was at lunch break and last night I was excited to get it sewn together. It literally took me just a bit over an hour. It has so many good lessons in it... cutting, strip sets, individual pieces, HST's, flying geese, and sashing. I'm going to be teaching an all day, Friday day time class in March during spring break and I'm excited to try this new pattern to teaching Quilting Cutting & Piecing Basics.

Clue 6 Finished!

Clue 6 for the Quiltville Mystery went together fairly smoothly, however, I underestimated the strip sets, so I had to make more. I finished those up last night and started on Clue 7.
My Clue 6 strip sets are done.
I was able to finish all of the A blocks.
And the B blocks and connect them to A.
I cleaned the kid's room this weekend and found the puzzles. M & Daddy put them together.
They were only missing 1 piece!
My last hand-stitching piece of 2018. The hexie popcorn table runner. I started this one in October 2017.
I also finished this quilt for my nephew. I just had to do binding, but that's what I worked on New Year's Eve.
I also reviewed my 2018 Quilters Planner and started prepping for 2019. I accomplished a lot and I'm proud of where I'm at in my quilting journey. Using the planner really helps me set and accomplish goals.

If you're completing the Quiltville Mystery, I'd love to hear where you're at. I'm so proud of myself for keeping up this year. Linking up with Bonnie Hunter for the Quiltville Mystery
