OMG January 2016 Finished!

This month has been amazing for my quilting! I've gotten a lot accomplished and many things moved forward. I was able to not only finish the top of the Remington quilt, which was my goal for January for OMG, but I also got it quilted and the binding on it. It turned out great and I think this is probably the quilt I have had the most comments on in a long time!
Remington quilt is done !

I also made a couple more essential oils bags for Kelli. They turned out cute. I have a few more to make, but needed to take a break.

Two more essential oils bags done! They don't take long, just the right mindset and following directions correctly. @cre8tivequilter @kell1squilts
I was able to go to the BHQG SOYO and get quite a few tops done. I finished this Case IH quilt. Now I just need to get a backing done so I can quilt it.

The Case IH quilt top is done.
Mikaela and I spent some time quilting on the MKJ holiday and I finished putting the binding on, so it's ready to hang for the next month.
Mikaela and I quilted this one together and I put the binding on. A new wall hanging for my office.
I got an unexpected day at my dad's last weekend and was able to quilt this blue hexie quilt for my MIL. I put the binding on it this week, so another finish for the month!
The Blue Hexie quilt is done! Feeling a great sense of accomplishment in completing this one. Made entirely from mom's stash.

I put together this Valentine's day table runner at the SOYO and quilted it last weekend. I put the binding on this week and finished the hand work last night.
Valentines table runner completed from scraps.
I was able to quilt this trip around the world quilt on the holiday and tonight when I changed the bedding, I decided I wanted to put it on the bed. I trimmed it up, put the binding on and stitched it down by machine and it's my last finish for January 2016.
One final finish for January!
I decided to use my new Quilters Planner to track my stash usage this year. I'm more determined than ever to finish up all these UFO's I have laying around. Since it's too hard for me to do it weekly, I'll be posting my stash report monthly.

2015 Revisited

In an effort to remember what I've accomplished in the past year, I've went through my Flickr account and pulled together all my finishes for the year. I'm hoping to get my books updated with the information from all my quilts, but I am fearing I'm almost 3 years behind!! I have almost 300 finish photos to pull together into my journals. It seems daunting, but I am ready to begin the process. We'll see how it goes. For now, enjoy my 2015 finishes.

OMG 2016 January Goal

January's goal for the new OMG - One Monthly Goal is to finish the Remington quilt sample top. I have a fairly good start after a couple nights of sewing, but need to put 3 more borders on when I get home. I've traveled across the state for work this week and my sewing machine came along, I was able to get this far as well as make two huge backs, so I can hopefully quilt sometime this month.
Love how fast the Remington quilt top went together. Just have borders left, but have to wait until I get home for those.

A Lovely Year of Finishes 2015 Goals Met

So pleased with how this little wall hanging turned out. I have the binding machine sewn on the king size quilt and am ready to hand sew 420" of binding down.

One last picture of the quilt before it heads to the convention. Paul helped me hang it up.
July- Bags for Mathew, Diane, & Kay
Another bag finished this week. This bag took on a life of its own as leftover fabrics were just being used as a test to figure out what size to make another bag. I love that I don't follow a pattern and just use the fabric I have to make it whatever size

Finished up my baskets earlier this month. The bags also got done, goal met. #alovelyyearoffinishes #alyof
August - Winter Wonderland Sample
Last night I put the Winter Wonderland top together.

October - Quilt and Bind Mikaela's Frozen quilt
