Blogger Quilt Festival

May 200 127
Over the last 10 years I've made a lot of quilts, but by far the most special quilt is the one my mom, aunt, and I made together in memory of my grandparents and their parents. We each made a couple of the cross blocks. Mom put it together and added the applique, and a friend quilted it.
It was donated to my parents/grandparents church St. Mary's in Milesville, SD in memory of my grandparents. The quilt is double size and hangs right behind the altar. The church changes the banners with the season, but this was the first quilt to hang there. It hung at my brothers wedding and then I made a new quilt for the church when Paul and I got married their last year. This is the church I grew up in, so when we are at my parents we always go there.
