Today was another blizzard day for me. Paul got up at 1:30 and went to work to clear snow. He called me around 3:00 to say he had plowed through drifts with his bumper and had to have it in 4-wheel drive to get out this morning, so there was no way the car was getting out. M called to say we weren't opening the store this morning, so I was glad I wasn't the only one who couldn't get out. I cleaned house, rearranged the living room, did laundry, made chili, baked 3 loaves of bread, and put binding on a quilt. By the time Paul got home at 4PM I was tired, but he was ready to clear our driveway, so I went out and shoveled. Here's what it looked like before we started shoveling. He spent 2 hours yesterday getting his pickup out, but now it has blown back in and he can't get in. He spent 2 more hours tonight clearing it out. My pickup is buried and I won't be using it until say May... There's a 20 foot wide drift 5 feet tall behind it. Tonight I worked on hand sewing binding while we watched the ACM awards.

You know, this reminds me of the little house on the prairie book about the Long Winter except I think that was North Dakota!!
Oh, good grief! I can't begin to imagine all the snow you have had! My best friend's daughter and husband are moving to Fargo in May. They have been living in Lousiana. Boy, are they in for a major change of climate!!
Wow, that is a lot of snow! I can't believe how much you got done in one day! You are amazing... and the bread sounds wonderful! Thanks for leaving a comment on my blog...I've been trying to read through everyones but Aidan has a fit when I get on the laptop so, when read... I can't type since I have 'helping hands'!
My kids had a "snow day" today (school buses cancelled) but I think it was more because the snow plow contracts expire April 1st, and there aren't enough plows left on the road to do a good job.... we don't have even close to the amount of snow that you have!
Is spring ever going to get here. We also had snow today... fortunately it didn't stick around though...LOL
Wow!! I'll come visit you in my new Diesel!! LOL I don't know if I even had a chance to tell everyone about it things have been so messed up but I traded my 02 Silverado (extended cab) with my dad and now I own a 05 2500 duramax crew cab... hmm I'm thinking lots of quilt retreat space when I get to go.
